This isn't worrying to me. Our Z-Day has been around since about 2007-2008.
If anything, THEY should be worried out Infringing US.

I'm not sure how I managed to get the first post up, but I'm sure I'll find a way to get my bitch-slap in there (using the exact date and time that ZDay began should shut him up). EDIT: It's up!

We can't lose Z-Day, no, not now.
Gearbox cant do this, they can't be fucking serious? You guys have a registered Copyright on this game right?

I don't think they have. It's been underdevelopment for so long, I'm guessing they felt relatively safe about the name if no one decided to take it from them then. But, It was Arrowhead's idea first. But copyright is everything unfortunately.

If they actually go through with this, we can at least try to start a largescale boycott of Gearbox, try to ruin their chance for a Borderlands 2 and such.

I just hope they aren't too stupid to do this. All they would have to do is change their name's, not be assholes and try and ruin an indie game that's been underdevelopment for well over two years.

Well if you Google "gearbox software z-day" you get about 4 pages of announcements in several languages.
But I think what counts is the game not the name, if Gearbox does it right then good on them. They have the backing and potential to make a game far better than we can. Hopefully they'll make the game that we always wanted to play.
I don't think that anyone on the Dev team will hold any animosity against Gearbox for wanting to make a game that a lot of people want to play. In fact I think that our Z-Day may have been an inspiration for other development studios for both ideas, and to draw attention to a market demand for a zombie MMOFPS.
Not to mention that I still own the "www.zdaygame.com" domain name .
